Quezon City and Some Parts of Manila will go Waterless

Parts of Bulacan and Quezon, Valenzuela and Caloocan Cities may go without water from December 14 to 15, water concessionaire Maynilad said.

Accroding to Maynilad, the interruption is due to the upgrading of its pipe network in Quezon City to improve water services in the West Zone.

In an advisory late Thursday, Maynilad said the outage is scheduled from noon of Dec. 14 to midnight of Dec. 15.

It said it will make repairs in its 1,400-mm butterfly valve along Commonwealth Avenue corner Jordan Plains in Quezon City.

SM Cubao is on Fire! Fire hits Stock Room!

The fire hit the stock room of SM Cubao at 12:08 p.m., the city fire department said, and was now on fourth alarm, according to a report on Radyo Inquirer.
The report said members of the Special Rescue Unit have entered the basement of the mall leading to the stock room to look for people who could have been trapped in the fire.

Motorists headed towards the mall have been advised to take a detour as roads leading to the area have been closed, the report said.

No deaths or injuries have been reported.

LimeWire shut down ordered by U.S. court

Limewire, one of the world's biggest file-sharing websites, has been shut down by a US judge after a four-year legal battle.

In a huge victory for the record industry, New York District Judge Kimba Wood issued a permanent injunction, ordering the service to stop supplying its software and to block the sharing of unauthorised files.  

The 17-page ruling requires LimeWire to 'disable the searching, downloading, uploading, file trading and/or file distribution functionality, and/or all functionality of the software.'

Eastern Telecom Evo Dsl

I recently disconnected my Sun Broadband Wireless because it is pretty useless, super slow internet and has a lot of problem when using Facebook. Maybe because their subscribers have doubled? anyway I have subscribed to eastern telecom's Evo Dsl for only 1000php for 2mbps ( internet only no landline ), it took them 15 or more days to install the modem but after that everything is good to go. Download speed is stable at 230kbps, everything is faster now thanks to eastern telecom! =D

Philippine security forces stormed a bus full of Hong Kong tourists on Monday to end a dramatic hostage crisis that unfolded live on global television, leaving at least ten people and the gunman dead.
