Quezon City and Some Parts of Manila will go Waterless

Parts of Bulacan and Quezon, Valenzuela and Caloocan Cities may go without water from December 14 to 15, water concessionaire Maynilad said.

Accroding to Maynilad, the interruption is due to the upgrading of its pipe network in Quezon City to improve water services in the West Zone.

In an advisory late Thursday, Maynilad said the outage is scheduled from noon of Dec. 14 to midnight of Dec. 15.

It said it will make repairs in its 1,400-mm butterfly valve along Commonwealth Avenue corner Jordan Plains in Quezon City.

Areas that will experience water service interruption are:


  • Whole of Valenzuela City

  • Obando (Bulacan) Water District

  • Meycauayan Water District

  • Caloocan City
      - Brgy. Kaybiga - Brgy. Llano - Brgy. Bagbaguin

  • Quezon City
      - Brgy. Nagkaisang Nayon - Brgy. Capri - Brgy. San Agustin - Brgy. Novaliches Proper - Brgy. Sta. Monica - Brgy. Gulod - Brgy. Pasong Putik

    Thousands of people lose homes in Manila slum fire ( Quezon City )


    MANILA, Philippines – A huge fire sweeping through a shantytown outside the Philippine capital has destroyed about 300 houses and left about 7,000 people homeless.
